Juliette Dowland

Physiotherapist

Juliette v2

Juliette graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Otago in 2013. She began her career at Willis Street Physio, then broadened her experience overseas working in London, before happily returning to Willis Street Physio.

Over the years, Juliette has worked across a wide range of settings including private practice, courtside sports physio, occupational health, workstation and work site assessments, and now focuses primarily on aged care physio in both retirement villages and in the community. She enjoys building strong rapport with clients, helping them achieve their individual goals with a focus on maintaining independence and quality of life. Her approach combines exercise prescription, motor retraining, manual therapy, dry needling, and breathing techniques, alongside education for clients, families, and staff around injury management and recovery. She is also certified in Matwork Level 1 and 2 Pilates and the BradCliff Breathing Method.

Outside of work, Juliette is an active volunteer surf lifeguard and enjoys travelling around New Zealand and abroad. She regularly competes in surf lifesaving competitions, enjoys snowboarding, and often signs up for endurance sporting events—especially those that come with a medal.
