Off work ACC contract

ACC Vocational Rehabilitation Service

Willis Street Physiotherapy are proud to be working in partnership with ACC Vocational Contract holders to deliver ACC’s Vocational Rehabilitation Services.

Willis Street Physiotherapy aims to deliver an easily accessible and high-quality service to anyone requiring assistance to return to work following an injury.

Our rehabilitation services are designed to help our clients return to work safely and quickly and to ensure their return to work is sustainable.  There is an emphasis on active recovery, and education. We aim to empower our clients to make positive changes in order to facilitate recovery from injuries.

Who is this service for?

The service is designed to assist people who are currently not working at their full capacity.  This includes people who are off work completely and also people who are working but with limitations.

What does the service involve?

The programme starts off with a meeting between one of our Vocational physiotherapist, the client and their employer. This will take place at the workplace, when appropriate, and gives our therapist the chance to see the workplace in action as well as learning the specific details about the client’s job role.

From here, the therapist works collaboratively with the client, their employer, other health care providers and ACC throughout the rehabilitation and return to work process. When it’s needed, our client will be supervised through a functional rehabilitation programme alongside their return to work and this will involve exercises to help them regain the ability to complete their work tasks.

How to access this service?

Your ACC case manager will need to refer you for a vocational rehabilitation service via one of our preferred providers.
