We have positions based in Palmerston North and Kāpiti in our Older Adult Team. Options to work at either or both sites available.  Comprehensive induction and training support is included. The role will have a block of hours per week on site at Aged Residential Care Facilities, and can be complemented with ACC contract work or Community Neuro rehabilitation depending on your areas of interest and the number of hours you wish to work. We offer support to help with your transition to private work if needed.

Aged care work is a very rewarding role where we are working with the site team to optimise the function of their residents at this fragile point in life. This includes helping with slow stream rehab, falls prevention, handling training, advocacy and education, equipment assessment, management and support of physiotherapy assistants, and case reviews.

The roles are supported by a Clinical Physiotherapy Manager with significant clinical experience and experienced colleagues. We are continuing to develop our best practice model and work with facilities to create interesting and challenging physiotherapy roles. The recently published Phyisotherapy in Aged Care Guidelines describe the main principles of how we work.

Hourly rate $50-$70 per hour for ARC work and higher for community neuro rehabilitation.

Willis Street Physiotherapy provides Community Older Adult physiotherapy based in the Wellington region and Nelson. We have a team of 10 physiotherapists and a Physiotherapy Manager, working across 14 ARC sites, supporting the delivery of services aimed at improving the quality of life of Older Adults.
