All of our workstation assessment services are delivered by an experienced Occupational Health Physiotherapist. 

 

We have a few options available:

 

Individual Workplace Assessment

A comprehensive assessment and report for an individual's workstation, best suited to employees with discomfort at work, or those with specific workstation requirements.

Being comfortable at work is an essential part of a worker’s job satisfaction and we want to help you and your employees achieve this. We believe that addressing workplace discomfort early reduces the risk of employees going off work and improves productivity.

 

We offer a comprehensive, workstation assessment service. The assessment will be completed by one of our Occupational Physiotherapist with a special interest in Ergonomics.

 

Our assessments generally take 30-45 minutes and includes:

 

- Job/Task analysis

- Brief assessment of musculoskeletal complaints

- Ergonomic analysis of seating and workstation setup

- Adjustments to workstation setup and equipment

- Posture education

- Education around microbreaks and regular workstation stretches

 

A detailed report is then provided for management and includes:

 

- General information regarding workstation setup

- Details of the issues found

- Summary of education given and changes made during the assessment

- Practical recommendations for the Employee and Manager including any suggestions for alternative equipment

 

Cost:

$250 + GST

Group Workstation Assessments

Our office walkthrough service is the perfect way to make sure all of your employees are set up well at their workstations and have the knowledge they need to stay comfortable at work.

The workshop is delivered by one our experienced Occupational Physiotherapists. We aim to provide a customer-focused service that is designed to meet your needs and we can discuss what you would like the service to cover.

 

Our service generally includes:

 

- A check of each employee’s workstation and adjustments to the set-up

- Education to individuals about their own working posture and advice on microbreaks

- Quick reference documents for each employee with information on workstation set-up and workstation stretches

- Brief summary to management, including any equipment that is noted to be malfunctioning or not suitable for the employees

- Optional group session at beginning of workshop to go through workstation stretches and general postural advice

 

Costs:

$250 + GST per hour

Telehealth (remote) Workstation Assessment

Setting up your workstation at home? We have adapted our usual workstation assessment service to ensure this is available to people remotely, using a secure Telehealth system where one of our workplace rehabilitation physiotherapists can video call the worker and talk them through how to set up their workstation correctly, and give them appropriate advice.

Our assessment generally takes around 30 minutes and includes:

- Job/Task analysis

- Brief assessment of musculoskeletal complaints

- Ergonomic analysis of home workstation setup using video

- Problem solving of any issues and practical recommendations for adjustments to home workstation setup

- Posture education

- Education around microbreaks and regular workstation stretches

A summary is then provided following the assessment and includes:

- Diagrams showing recommended workstation setup

- List of the key recommendations for the individual worker

- Exercises that can be completed at the workstation to minimise discomfort 

Cost:

The cost of the Telehealth service will be $125 + GST for a consultation lasting around half an hour (our usual cost for our in-person workstation assessments is $250 + GST).
